I read an article the other day where it mentioned over 10,000 people have moved out of Christchurch because they don’t want to have to go through another experience like this Earthquake. Can’t really blame them, can ya ?

@Danish9248 most of the buildings are gone now but the CBD is still cordoned off as they still need to bring down the Hotel Grand Chancellor. It’s going to take a while.

@Stealthkeys77 If you’re trying to say the reason people died in Chch and Pike River MIne was that we didn’t get enough help, you would be wrong. Also, comparing a tsunami with an earthquake is questionable. Comparing a collapsed gold mine with an exploded coal mine is ridiculous.
This breaks my fucking heart. I was born in Wellington, but moved to CHCH when I was a baby and lived there until I was 11 then moved to Hamilton where I have been for the rest of my life (I am 20). I still consider CHCH my hometown as all my first memories were there, and the bulk of my family lives there. The earthquake almost killed my grandmother who is 76 as it caused her to have a heart attack. I pray another one does not happen. RIP to all who died on this sad day in NZ’s history
